Red River Revel 2026: Hours, Ticket Prices, and Free Entry Rules
One reason I live for festival season in Shreveport is simple: the food. Whenever our city throws a festival, you already know the food lineup is going to be top-tier, and the Red River Revel is low-key my favorite spot to snag lunch. In fact, consider this your official sign to cancel your regular midday plans, ditch the usual desk salad, and head straight to Downtown Shreveport instead.
The 50th Annual Red River Revel Arts Festival officially kicks off today at Festival Plaza (101 Crockett Street). While most people wait until after hours to flock downtown for dinner and live music, my friends and I love to mosey through during the day. It’s the sweet spot: you get to stroll the grounds, take in the incredible work across more than 90 artist booths, and hunt down the best eats without fighting the evening crowds.
And trust me, you’ll want to come hungry, the vendor lineup features over 100 menu items this year, which has me absolutely beaming with excitement.
Before you make your lunch break break, here are a few quick logistical details to keep your outing seamless:
Hours & Admission: The festival opens at 11:00 AM. Admission is completely free before 5:00 PM on weekdays, making a quick lunch trip even easier on your wallet. After 5:00 PM, entry is $10.
Navigating Traffic: To keep everyone safe and the festival footprint secure, Crockett Street is closed, and Shreveport Police will be stationed near the intersection of Crockett and Spring Street to guide traffic.
Where to Park: Free street parking kicks in after 5:00 PM on weekdays and runs all day on weekends. For daytime visits, grab a free spot at the Railyard Lot (70 Lake St) or the Milam Street Lot (2–74 Milam St). Accessible parking is available behind Riverview Hall (83 Crockett St via Commerce St) on a first-come, first-served basis.
Grab a friend, head downtown, and let’s go festival lunching!
