We all have bad days, but thankfully those tremendously dark days don't happen all that often.

It probably wouldn't require much pondering on your part to recall the darkest of your days, but in most cases, you might not have any concept of what or who it was that helped you pull to the other side and get you through it.

That's not the case for Misty Alsup. She knows exactly who to thank for grabbing her by the hand and rescuing her from sinking further into the abyss.

That honor goes to Brianna McLeod. When Misty needed someone most, Brianna was there! And for a multitude of reasons including her compassion, love and dedication to service, we celebrate her!

Just read what Misty wrote about Brianna and you'll see just how easy it was to name her this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

I would like to tell you about Bri, my personal angel. About a month ago, I was experiencing what can only be described as a complete nervous breakdown. My blood pressure was dangerously high, my emotions were overwhelming, and I felt like my entire world was falling apart. In one of the darkest moments of my life, Bri stepped in. I was emotionally overwhelmed from having 2 major surgeries within 4 days which were followed 10 days later by having to care for my future mother-in-law who had fallen, so she required constant supervision. The final straw was having my car breakdown on the way to my appointment that morning. I was just totally overwhelmed when Bri stepped in! She didn't just treat my symptoms; she treated me with compassion, dignity, and kindness. She took time to listen when I felt unheard, comforted me when I felt alone, and reassured me when I was terrified. In a moment when I felt broken, she reminded me that I mattered. Nurses care for people every day, but Bri went far beyond the duties listed in her job description. She showed genuine empathy and concern for my well-being. Her calm presence, encouraging words, and caring heart made a lasting impact on me that I will never forget. People often say angels walk among us, and I am convinced that on that day, I met one! Bri may wear scrubs instead of wings, but she embodies everything that is good about healthcare and humanity. Thank you, Bri, for being the light I needed during one of my darkest days. I now have a true angel not just as a friend but a sister.

Brianna McLeod, because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Ernest's Orleans Restaurant have a $100 gift certificate for you to come have dinner on them!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Brianna to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
