Back in April of 2025, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced the start of a $6.8 million project to replace the roadway signage along LA 3132, and since that point we've seen a number of times when traffic was hindered while crews were completing various stages of the project.

And now, according to the latest notice from the DOTD, we're in for another couple weeks of those inconvenient periods. In this notice, DOTD advises that beginning Monday, August 17, there will be intermittent lane closures on LA 3132 in both directions at the LA 511 (70th Street) and US 171 (Mansfield Rd) interchanges in Shreveport.

These lane closures are scheduled to take place daily until Friday, August 28, and are necessary to replace overhead and other signage and components along LA 3132.

Of course, this work will be done "Weather Permitting" so inclement weather could delay/extend or alter in other ways, the scheduled work day/hours.

This entire project is anticipated to wrap up in Fall 2026.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
