Caddo Correctional Deputies Arrested for Excessive Force

Caddo Parish Correctional Facility deputies have been arrested on multiple charges.

Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr. announced that an ongoing investigation has uncovered that Preston Eichelberger, who was hired in March 2022, and Corey Steadman, who was hired in January 2020, used excessive force against an inmate while serving at the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Eichelberger was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and two counts of malfeasance in office. Steadman was charged with two counts of second-degree battery, and two counts of malfeasance in office. Subsequently, they were booked into the Caddo Correctional Facility on the aforementioned charges.
