Caddo Deputies Searching for Car Involved in Fatal Hit-And-Run
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help with finding a car involved in a fatal hit-and-run.
In late September, a pedestrian was walking along the shoulder of Highway 173, or Shreveport-Blanchard Road, near Smith Lane when he was hit by a car.
After conducting interviews, CPSO heard from witnesses who saw a dark-colored, four-door pickup truck with several lights, including yellow lights on the sides, driving at a high speed. The truck crossed the centerline and hit the pedestrian. None of the witnesses that were interviewed got the license plate number.
After the incident, the truck kept heading south toward Shreveport. The pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was treated for injuries sustained in the hit-and-run. The man later died from his injuries in the hospital.
From CPSO:
"If you have any information regarding this incident, please call the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Non-Emergency number at 318-675-2170 or Caddo/Shreveport Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373."
