Closures Announced for Airline Drive in Bossier City
More traffic delays could be lining up for Bossier City, as a closure is coming to one of the most traveled roads in the city. This closure may catch some by surprise too, because they will start on Monday, December 2nd, as many are returning to their regular schedule after the Thanksgiving holiday.
This announced closure will take place on Louisiana 3105, commonly known as Airline Drive. It will stretch from McElroy Street to Inda Street in the Northbound, outside lane.
This road work will begin on Monday December 2nd at 10am. The closure is expected to last 10 days, weather permitting.
This will make McElroy inaccessible from Airline Drive, and will require motorists to take Fullilove Drive and Beverly Street from HWY 71 (Barksdale Blvd).
Airline Drive is already dealing with the repercussions from the ongoing construction on I-20. The I-20 construction has caused numerous backups that stretch onto Airline Drive over the previous months. Not to mention the regular stoppages on the same stretch of Airline Drive due to railroad stops.
