Shreveport Man Arrested for Sexual Battery at a Night Club

The Shreveport Police Department arrested a man over the weekend for sexual battery at a night club.

Early Sunday morning SPD got a call from Club Gemini on Greenwood Road. When Police showed up they were approached by a woman who claimed that a man in the club had grabbed her in a sexually inappropriate way without her consent.

Police went in the club and found a man matching the victim's description. Demetrius McCoy was arrested and charged with one count of sexual battery.

Sexual Battery is defined by law to be the intentional touching of the anus or genitals either directly or through clothes without consent.

McCoy was transported to the Shreveport City Jail.
