Shreveport Police Investigating Body Found in Twelve Mile Bayou
Yesterday afternoon, Shreveport Police, Shreveport Fire, and Caddo Sheriff's Office began an investigation after a body was found on Twelve Mile Bayou.
The remains were found by a fisherman, and with the help of the above-mentioned agencies, Police were able to find the body with the help of Shreveport Police Department’s Drone Unit.
Once the body was recovered, it was taken to the Stoner Boat Launch. The remains were then released to the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office.
The deceased has been described by authorities as a Black male in his 40s. SPD says foul play is not suspected at this time, but the investigation is ongoing. The Caddo Coroner's Office will be assisting in identifying the man and determining the cause of death.
From SPD:
"The Shreveport Police Department would like to thank the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Shreveport Fire Department for their assistance and professionalism throughout this operation."
