On January 19, 2025, Shreveport Police officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 4637.5 Bullen Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the suspect, identified as Shadonald Washington, and verbally Mirandized her.

During the investigation, Washington admitted to going to the victim's residence, where she aggressively beat on the door while yelling. She claimed she was alone during the incident.

The victim reported that Washington had come to her home yelling through the door. Washington then beat door with such force that it flew open, damaging the lock in the process. After briefly entering the residence, Washington and an unidentified male suspect were seen standing on the porch, where Washington continued to yell aggressively.

Further investigation revealed that Washington and the other suspect unlawfully entered the residence, defaced the victim's property, and committed a physical battery on the victim, causing injury.

Washington was arrested and charged with Home Invasion, which includes unlawful entry, property damage, and physical harm to the victim.

The Shreveport Police Department is dedicated to protecting the safety and security of its residents and will continue to hold individuals accountable for acts of violence and property damage.
