Did You Know That Frying a Frozen Turkey Can Start a Fire and Ruin Thanksgiving?

You would think that after countless crazy Thanksgiving horror stories, we would all know never to try to cook a frozen turkey. However, we just don't listen too well in the South, do we?

We love deep frying everything in the south, so it just comes naturally to fry our turkey. The USDA always reminds us of the proper turkey thawing times. Yes, if your turkey is big enough, you may have to thaw it out as early as a week before Thanksgiving, if your turkey isn't thawed out by now, sorry it's probably too late. Every year, there are thousands of house fires that are caused because of deep-frying a turkey.
